Preparation:
Exfoliate your skin the day before application, focusing on dry areas like elbows, knees, and ankles, to ensure an even tan.
Moisturise daily for 3–4 days prior to tanning, paying special attention to dry patches. On the day of tanning, apply a light layer of moisturiser to dry areas such as elbows, knees, ankles, and knuckles to act as a barrier.
Hair Removal: If shaving or waxing, do so at least 24 hours before tanning to allow skin to recover.
Application:
Clean Skin: Ensure your skin is clean and free from deodorants, perfumes, or oils, as these can interfere with the tanning process.
Apply Lotion: Using a tanning mitt or your hands, apply the lotion in circular motions, starting from your feet and working upwards to avoid creases.
Blend Carefully: Use any excess product on the mitt or hands to lightly blend over areas prone to dryness, such as elbows, knees, ankles, and wrists, to prevent overdevelopment.
Drying Time: Allow the lotion to dry fully before dressing. Opt for loose-fitting clothing to avoid disturbing the developing tan.
Development Time: Wait at least 4 hours before showering; for a deeper tan, leave the product on for up to 8 hours or overnight.
Wash Hands: Thoroughly wash your hands immediately after application to prevent staining.
Maintenance:
Build Gradually: Apply daily to build up to your desired tan. Once achieved, maintain the colour by reapplying every 2–3 days.
Hydration: Keep your skin moisturised daily to prolong the life of your tan and ensure even fading.
Avoid Hot Showers: Use cool water when showering to help maintain your tan longer.
