Q&A with Evolve Organic Beauty Founder, Laura Rudoe

Founded in 2009 by Laura Rudoe, Evolve began with a simple but powerful vision: to craft advanced natural skincare that delivers real results while staying honest, transparent, and kind to the planet. For over 15 years, they’ve been at the forefront of clean, clinically proven beauty — blending the best of nature with cutting-edge science to create skincare that works, and works beautifully.

Why did you start Evolve?

I started Evolve because I wanted to create skincare that’s both kind to skin and the planet — products that work in harmony with nature and deliver visible results. My own experiences with problem skin and hormone issues taught me how important it is to use pure organic and natural products for skin health and overall wellness. I set out to prove that certified organic beauty can be effective, beautiful to use and accessible, without compromising on quality or ethics.

What makes Evolve products different?

At Evolve, we handcraft all of our products in small batches in our own studio to ensure maximum freshness and quality when they reach our customers. Unlike many brands, we choose to keep our production entirely in-house — giving us full transparency and control over every step of the process, from formulation to finished product.

We carefully select clinically proven natural and organic ingredients that deliver real results, so our products don’t just feel good - they work.

And because we believe that choosing what’s better for your skin and the planet shouldn’t be a luxury, we offer all of this at an accessible price point to help more people make the switch to clean, conscious beauty.

What’s your favourite moment in nature?

My favourite moment in nature is that quiet stillness just after sunrise, when everything feels calm and full of possibility. There’s a sense of renewal in the air -  the light is soft, the world is slowly waking up, and you can hear the birdsong before the day really begins.

It’s a moment that always reminds me of how deeply connected we are to the natural world and how important it is to protect it, not just for ourselves, but for future generations too.

What does your daily skincare or suncare routine look like?

My routine is all about simplicity, nourishment, and protection, using products that support my skin while also being kind to the planet. In the morning, I start by cleansing with our Gentle Cleansing Melt, which leaves my skin feeling soft and balanced. I follow that with Age Defying Hydrating Face Mist and a few drops of our Hyaluronic Serum 200 for deep hydration. To finish, I always apply our Climate Defence Facial Cream SPF 30. It’s my go-to for daily sun protection. It's lightweight, reef-safe, and packed with antioxidants to protect against both UV damage and environmental stressors all day long.

What are your favourite Evolve products?

It honestly changes all the time because I’m always testing and falling in love with different products from our range! But right now, as it’s summer, I’m really enjoying our Climate Defence Facial Cream SPF 30, it gives great daily protection, feels so lightweight on the skin, and is packed with antioxidant-rich ingredients that help defend against environmental stress.

I also love our Sunless Glow 3-in-1 Gradual Tan as it gives the most natural, healthy-looking glow & tan without any streaks, and our customers are obsessed with it too.

And lastly, I’ve been reaching for the Resveratrol + Niacinamide Serum. It’s amazing for brightening, evening out skin tone, and tackling hyperpigmentation. I’ve really noticed a difference in my skin’s clarity and smoothness.

What’s one skincare tip you swear by?

Choose products made with natural and organic ingredients, and avoid unnecessary synthetic chemicals where you can. In my experience, this simple shift can make a huge difference helping to reduce irritation, sensitivity, and breakouts, especially for reactive or delicate skin.

Our skin is incredibly intelligent, and when we support it with gentle, nutrient-rich formulations that work in harmony with its natural functions, it tends to thrive.
